On Thursday, UK Finance Minister Rachel Reeves admitted her intentions to change Britain’s fiscal rules in the October budget. She plans to free billions of pounds for investments.
The weeks-long speculation regarding Reeve’s plans has concluded. Reeves will deliver the Labour government’s debut budget on October 30th.
Previously, Prime Minister Keir implied that the budget is “going to be painful” as the government will likely ask the public for sacrifices to fill the financial gap, which he mentioned as a “black hole.”
