Pokemon GO player catches a nearly perfect Pokemon

A Pokemon Go player caught an extremely rare Pokemon, Giratina. The legendary and powerful Pokemon contained maximum Defense and HP. However, it falls short in Attack, nearly reaching perfection.

A user on Reddit skyejedi27 shared the screenshot of his catch on Pokemon’s official subreddit.  The player caught the Pokenmon on October 16 around San Fransisco, California. His post expressed a slight dismay of being “so close” for Giratina to reach maximum stats.

SOOOO CLOSE……..

Although the shiny Pokemon couldn’t reach the maximum potential in its Attack, it still is a very powerful one. It’s likely that catching it couldn’t have been an easier task for the player. It would have required a lot of time and skill during the raid battle to catch it.

There are a variety of creatures in Pokemon for the fans to pick from. While some are more powerful than others, most of them can be trained to suit any kind of play style. However, there is a limit on how high the base stats can go, determined by Pokemon’s individual values (IVs).

Other Pokemon GO players caught the same Pokemon with slightly lacking Individual Values

Many other Pokemon GO players have shared similar catches they achieved in the game. One user replied “I have the exact same shiny Giratina as you, so I definitely feel the pain”.

Most of them had also caught the nearly perfect Giratina as well. Given that the Pokemon lacked each time in either Attack, HP or Defense, the players were a bit frustrated since catching it demanded much time.

The reason for this is that such a Pokemon could not perform well in competitive matches like Master League where most of the players use perfect Pokemons. The slight discrepancy in Giratina could have higher chances of losing in such a league.

Since its launch in 2016, Pokemon GO has thrived impressively. The game has expanded its content with many new additions. These additions include limited-time events and new Pokemon. Moreover, community driven raid battels are also one of the major reasons that Pokemon GO has continued over the years.
